Tim Peel To Ref Tonight’s Game In Montreal

A familiar name will don the zebra suit at the Bell Centre tonight for the first Bruins/Habs showdown of the 2014-15 season.

Tim Peel officiated seven Bruins games last season, including two playoff games. The Bruins won four of those games, splitting the two postseason contests. Meanwhile, the Habs won all three games Peel called last season, according to scoutingtherefs.com.

Peel called 20.7 percent more penalties on the road team, while partner Graham Skilliter called 9.3 percent more. Of course, those numbers should only go up before the Bell Centre crowd. The home team won 56 percent of Peel’s games in 2013-14.
